The chapter that is! WHOOT! FINALLY DONE! This makes me a very happy person indeed as now I get to move on to many wonderful things such as:

• introducing the last main character!
• revealing Rushe’s secret phobia!
• getting into the meat of the plot!
• blowing up stuff!

And the list is long indeed!

So Xmas is coming up, and I’m wondering if people would be interested in any Brymstone stuff for gifts and what not. Snarky T-shirts? Colorful calendars? Prodigious posters? Printed comics? Any suggestions or requests? I’m still pondering submitting a design for a toy to PatchTogether, but I’m not sure what yet. I thought Darshe might make a cool toy, but it I think I’d have to actually show some artwork to get people excited.

Also, I’m looking at doing something a little special for the holidays here at the site, for the fans, for the members that I can get in contact with at least. Maybe a little contest, or some kind of digital xmas goodies.  I’ll post more as this comes, but if there is something you’d like to see, or think would be a good gift to you, the readers, please, leave a comment.

Well its almost 3 am, and I’m afraid I probably don’t have the most insightful blogging abilities at that ungodly time of the morning, but at least I did manage TWO comics this month, even if this one was a little off the schedule.

So to avoid saying too much weird stuff, I’ll just go ahead and let you get to the comic and hopefully edit this later.

Well its friday and its been an exciting week. I’m teaching Photoshop and working full time (ya for two jobs..), my roommate was hit by a car, and my strata has decided I need to pay them a stupid sum of money I don’t have by November. Oh yeah, feel the awesome.

Only two more pages in this chapter kiddies, and we’ll finally be moving into the GODDAMN STORY. Can you tell I’m excited? In the next chapter I finally get to introduce the last main character for the first arc. WHOOT.

Okay, news stuff.

As the author its not really fair to speculate on my own story and characters, since I kinda know what’s going on. But I LOVE to see other people doing it! Yes, you need to register to use the forums, but as a perk your comments will appear instantly if you comment on the site. Ahhh, the benefits of membership.

Alright! Update, reasonably on time! And almost done the chapter too! I’m actually rather pleased with this fact. I also really liked how the second panel turned out on this page. Its a good dramatic perspective thingy.

Almost done with this chapter, one more page hopefully and we can leave all this flashback stuff behind and move forward! More Darshe! I think he’s beginning to get a little pissed that he’s all having to wait for this exposition before making more smart ass remarks.

Well if you didn’t hear, we didn’t win the TGT webcomic’s contest (we only lost by TWO votes! Bummer!), although I still have the one wallpaper to do, so I’ll hopefully be finishing that up tomorrow (for the love of god I want to finish SO BAD). But a BIG thank you to everyone who voted and continues to support and read Brymstone despite my dismal ability to keep an update schedule at the moment.

The next page is already drawn and mostly colored. I have to still do base shades for it, but hopefully that will get done. I’ve also got prep to do for a class on Adobe photoshop I’m teaching. Hopefully I’ll be posting videos a little more over at my youtube site for basic stuff, but you can see some I’ve already posted here on the Brymstone site under ‘extras –> Videos’,

I’m probably going to have to shift the night to Thursdays as my classes will be on Wed nights till 9, which is the start time of the usual show. I also post to twitter when I’m going to Ustream, so if you follow me, you’ll get a nifty notification. I also usually post when I update. Its normally Friday, but sometimes thursday.. still working on that whole, regular day thing.. hell trying to work on regular week thing. I actually didn’t do THAT bad in August.. only missed one week. I’m already failing here in Sept. Oh well.

There’s also been some site updates, still working on a few things. I’ve upgraded the site to using the new comicpress 2.8 theme and did some graphic fixy so it looks alright. The calendar in the side will eventually hold a monthly wallpaper. Hopefully. I know its dismally empty right now, but fill is coming. I’m also working on some ideas for new site features as well as possibly a donor’s section. If there’s something you’d like to see there, lemme know.

This fight is so close to over it’s killing me, but I’m really trying to get pages done, seriously. I’ve set aside every Wed actually, forcing the fiance and roomie to cook so that I can work on comics. I also usually try to work Thursday nights too, and to prove it, I’ve started a Ustream channel, if you hadn’t heard. I’m also trying to figure out how to fix the website’s design to be a little less.. busy.

I’ve also got one wallpaper to finish, and possibly a second if we manage to pull out from behind the stoners and win this puppy.

Its 3:30 am. I’m going to HATE myself in the morning so hard for staying up to finish this. But DAMMIT, I’m trying to get an update schedule going.. even if its irratic, at least its once a week. We’ll work on that regularity thing.

So this page is fight slash ‘all about talon’. Or at least as much as Raif is recounting. Almost to the end of the chapter.. thank gods.Do you have any idea how HARD it is to choreograph and draw a battle between a double handed swords person and someone with a double handed longsword and make it exciting? Its hard! The longsword fighter is very stance heavy and uses his reach and power to his advantage, so he doesn’t move a lot. That doesn’t make a very exciting fight until he DOES move. The other guy, on the other hand, moves a LOT. Seriously, I did research.

Oh and yes, I’m doing a little site renovating. Please excuse my dust and horrid color combinations as I work out better stuff.

Not a lot of news. Thanks to those who’ve been supporting me in the TGTwebcomics tournament! Thanks to your help, we’ve managed to survive to the third round! I’ll let you all know when the next round is up.

Its been a little while, and this page was long in coming. I’m very proud of the blur/sparks thing on the middle panel. Yes.. its shiny.

I was pleased with the layout on this page, but the coloring isn’t as up to snuff as normal, just for the sake of getting it done.

Lots of stuff on the plate for this update. Firstly, I’ve put up some new pages, if you haven’t noticed, including a ‘Press’ page for things like Podcasts, reviews, and upcoming events I’m going to be at. One such event is Anime Evolution, which will be June 12-14 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I’m going to be giving a series of workshops on webcomics for the Creation Station. When I have a schedule, it will be posted in the press page, as well as on my twitter. I don’t have an artists alley table or anything, but its been a long standing.. tradition? is that the right word? that if you can find me at a con, you can get a 10$ sketch. If you are up to the challenge.

I’ve also been reviewed! Couple of times, the most recent is on “This is your Webcomic”. The rest are linked through the Press page.

I *think* I’ve fixed the IE problem with the main website’s text now. If you are still having trouble after a forced refresh, let me know and i’ll keep trying to fix it.
